Tor는 주어진 컴퓨터에 호스트네임을 요청한 후 받은 호스트네임을 분해하는 방식으로 IP 주소를 추정해요. 일반적인 사용자의 컴퓨터 내 their /etc/hosts 파일엔 옛 IP 주소가 입력돼있어요.

한편 IP 주소가 많을 경우, 'OutboundBindAddress'을 설정해 외부에 표시하고자 하는 IP 주소로 외부 접속을 받고자 할 수 있어요.
