Why Tor Browser for Android is being reported to have trackers?

Some privacy-scanning tools list trackers in Tor Browser for Android because the app is based on Firefox for Android. However, all tracking components are disabled by default, and plans are underway to completely remove the remaining code.

The tracking code being reported is carried over from Firefox for Android as Tor Browser is based on Firefox. Privacy-scanning tools like Exodus Privacy detect these libraries through static analysis, but this only shows that the code exists in the app package, not whether it's active. All of the tracking code is disabled by default in Tor Browser for Android. Additionally, a complete removal of the tracking code is planned.
